AUCKLAND CAT RESCUE

Auckland Cat Rescue (ACR) was established in April 2005 in response to the enormous problem of stray and unwanted cats and kittens in Auckland. We are passionate about animals and dedicated to making a difference.

We intend to reduce the growing number of unwanted cats and kittens by educating the public on caring for cats and kittens, including neutering cats not required for breeding.

For a number of years ACR has offered a rescue and rehabiliation service to the Auckland Region, which has proved enormously successful and to date ACR have faciliated the adoption of over 650 cats and kittens, and the desexing of over a thousand.? Due to volunteer constraints in the management roles of the organisation, ACR have downsized, and no longer offer this service.

We endeavour to operate as an organisation that promotes animal welfare, and obtains funding and grants to run low cost desexing campaigns for the general public. We will be running a large campaign in the South Auckland region later in the year,? please keep your eyes on this space for updates.
